Bay City ISD board members and administrators, contractors and consultants wield their gold painted shovels at the construction site of the new Bay City Junior High School that will replace the present building – that served both BCHS and BCJH – that’s 67 now years old. In addition to Matagorda County and City of Bay City officials, the groundbreaking was highlighted by the presence of BCJH students and teachers. Sixth-graders were told they would be the first graduating class of the new school that’s funded by part of the $124 milllion bond issue that voters approved in November 2016.
